Litigation

PLG serves as lead counsel in complex, high-tech patent litigation in federal courts around the country. PLG attorneys have experience in all stages of proceedings in the federal courts, including Markman hearings and appeals to the Federal Circuit. PLG attorneys have experience in numerous technologies, with particular experience in web-based applications (including mobile device apps), authentication devices and technology, fiber optics and laser telecommunications, computer hardware and software (including chip design and fabrication).

PLG has filed complaints as lead counsel for patent infringement against a number of Internet companies, including Facebook,Google, YouTube and MySpace on behalf of Wireless Ink Corporation. Those cases are pending in the District Court for the Southern District of New York.

PLG also represents GoIP Global and Go800 on defenses and counterclaims against Intregen in the District Court for the Southern District of New York. That case involves multiples patents and trade secrets involving text and Internet communications.

PLG was able to settle claims on a confidential basis for other litigation clients, including for Authenex in claims that were pending in the District Court for the Central District of California against VASCO.
