PLG serves as the lead in negotiations on behalf of our clients, both when our client is seeking to license valuable technology rights, and to seek the most favorable terms when our client desires such a license. PLG also helps our clients sell, or acquire, IP rights. PLG also reviews patent portfolios and helps to advise clients on how to improve the portfolio in order to better protect a business segment, to identify areas of the portfolio that are underperforming in terms of revenue generation or to assist in determinations in the allocation of IP rights for enforcement or sale.
Whether as part of litigation efforts or not, a deep understanding of the complex technical and legal issues allows PLG to effectively serve our clients in both the licensing and sales transactions. However, PLG also retains top-notch C-level executives when appropriate in order to negotiate business terms that make sense for all the parties, and often unlock hidden value in the negotiations.
